my compute node details as follows

Adaptec ServRAID Controller
scsi0: IBM PCI ServeRAID 7.10.18 Build 731 <ServRAID 6i>
Vendor: IBM Model: SERVERAID
TYPE: Direct-Access

modules used :

ips 54505 9
sd_mod 19393 10
scsi_mod 140177 4,sg,libata,ips,sd_mod

> You are using 600GB / 500GB HDs on your compute nodes? Or are you describing
> your headnode?

i explained about the headnode. compute node have 140 gb [2X70GB]

> Perhaps you can try SystemImager 3.6.3 (not released yet, but available

> to detect your hardware:

i installed the following packages in headnode from the above link

systemimager-x86_64initrd_template-3.6.3-1.noarch
systemimager-x86_64boot-standard-3.6.3-1.noarch
systemimager-server-3.6.3-1.noarch
systemimager-flamethrower-3.6.3-1.noarch
systemimager-common-3.6.3-1.noarch
systemimager-client-3.6.3-1.noarch

and removed the 3.5.3 packages from the
/opt/oscar/packages/sis/distro/common-rpms and new 3.6.3
packages copied to the same location, then i created the "oscarimage", then
define clients, setup
networking...

i boot the client this time
" NO DISK DEVICE FILES WERE FOUND, THIS USUALLY MEANS THE KERNEL DIDNOT
RECOGNIZE ANY......"

then i replace the /tftpboot/kernel with
"http://world.anarchy.com/~peter/systemimager/"; web
"kernel" file

kmod:failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k binfmt-464c, errno=8

continously on the screen,

i installed one compute node with RHEL4U2 to get the hardware details, i have
enclosed the
lsmod,lspci,/proc/pci
