Hi Claudio:

Perhaps you have a machine with Hyper-Threading turned on, in that case
/proc/cpuinfo will report that you have 2 CPUs (on one machine).  Newer
models of Intel Pentium IVs usually have Hyper-Threading, and this is
enabled/disabled in the BIOS.
