Title: [Oscar-users] eth0:1 flipflop!
Hi Brad:

To get around the problem, you'll have to edit your autoinstall master script (located in /var/lib/systemimager/scripts/) for your image.

Edit the SystemConfigurator section under [INTERFACE0] changing "eth0" to "eth1" - the section looks something like this:
[INTERFACE0]
DEVICE = eth0
TYPE = dhcp
EOL

In the future we would like to be able to provide an easy way to change this via the GUI.  There is already a RFE filed:

Cheers,

Bernard

Subject: [Oscar-users] eth0:1 flipflop!

I PXE booted from the motherboard ethernet port, and installed OSCAR that way. Unfortunately, upon rebooting, there was no connectivity. It seems that the following has occurred: the config was set up assuming eth0 would be the network, but upon reboot, eth1 is actually this interface (which isn't even started) and eth0 is the PCI card. So of course, now nothing works!

Does anyone have experience with nodes that have two nics? (ex. 1 for network, 1 for HPC interconnect)?

thanks for any tips

Brad [EMAIL PROTECTED]
