Hi Terry: First of all, did you try to install OSCAR 5.0 on top of OSCAR 4.2? We recommend that you re-install the OS on the headnode to ensure that you don't have any old cruft that might affect the installation of a newer version of OSCAR.
Secondly, it might help to provide a log with more verbosity, so try to 'export OSCAR_VERBOSE=5' before executing 'install_cluster' and send us the log again. Lastly, I'd appreciate it if we move this discussion to oscar-devel@lists.sourceforge.net since OSCAR 5.0 is not yet released... Thanks!
