Have you tried turning off pfilter on the head node? Is the standard firewall software and/or SELinux disabled?
It looks from the error like you are trying to send out the image using multicast. Does your switch support multicast? Not all of them do... Have you tried cloning the nodes without multicast activated? With only 16 nodes you don't really need the special transport anyway... For the record, what version of OSCAR are you using and on what distro?
