Oscar does not have a "joining" mode, its default operation destroys
the current partitions.  However, you don't need to install the
operating system on the nodes, just network boot them and OSCAR will
install its disk image on them, OS and all the packages are included.
You only need to install the operating system on the head node.

It might be an interesting thing to talk about if you wanted to do
some development work.
