Great, that did the trick! I logged in as su - and ran the script fine now.

Did you remember to sign in using "su -" and not just "su"? For some
reason the script is running as user "nanda" and not root, but it isn't
using the .ssh stuff from nanda so you are getting asked for a password, and
so since you say you are running as root I am guessing you signed in with
"su" which kicks you into a really wierd state where none of your paths or
environment stuffs are quite right for either nanda or root. Generally it
doesn't mater a ton which you do, but with OSCAR it almost always causes
weird problems.
Running "su -" actually logs you in fully as root, with all the right
paths and environment information.
