Hello! Sorry for the late Reply. OK we haved fixed the problem. We are now Connected to the server. (It was a very studpid problem by my friend....) OK so far. Now we stand for the next problem on the real maschine.
This maschine is a NEC Cluster of 2 AMD Athlon Processors The Master have 2 IDE HD The Slave (5 of them) have 1 IDE HD (40 GB) We set up the first slave by CD (The Network-Cards are not bootable) Everything was fine. The Slave get the IP from the master. But then the Error came: Partitioning /dev/hda... Old partition table for /dev/hda: Disk geometry for /dev/hda: 0kb - 0kB Dis label type: msdos Number Start End Size Type File system Flags dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/hda bs=512 count=1 || shellout 1+0 records in 1+0 records out blockdev --rereadpt /dev/hda BLKRRPART: Inappropriate ioctl for device parted -s -- /dev/hda mklabel msdos ||shellout Creating partiton/dev/hda1. parted -s -- /dev/hda mkpart primary 0 100 ||shellout Error: The location 100 is outside of the device /dev/hda. Killing off runnig processes That is the output! 2 Lines i don´t understand: Disk geometry for /dev/hda: 0kb - 0kB Error: The location 100 is outside of the device /dev/hda. What should they told me?
