Thanks Michael. I did exactly what you suggested: reorder the entries in the
/etc/hosts, but exactly the same error occured.
Torque requires that the /etc/hosts on the server be set up like
x.x.x.x hostname.hostdomain hostname
x.x.x.x internalname.internaldomain internalname
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
where the address of hostname.hostdomain is the IP that users outside the
cluster would see (the external network interface) and the address of the
internal interface (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, or 172.16.x.x) should be on the
internalname.internaldomain line.
The name that comes up when you do `hostname` should be on the external
interface, and the internal interface should be the one you call when you
do
"install_cluster eth0"
I have gotten errors like this when I have the hostnames set up strangely
in
/etc/hosts.
