Ok I seeming solved/hacked my way out of my previous problem by editing /etc/rpm/platform from i586 to i686
anyway that got the packages labled 686 ie perl-Qt ,perl-Tk Torque and Ganglia installing however I run into this problem now while "Searching these directories for packages" (in package_config_xmls_to_database) it hangs (overnight and its still "Searching"). Anybody got an idea what its hanging up on? as always the current oscarinstall.log is at : http://homepage.usask.ca/~rwm132/oscarinstall.log Q--> mysqld already running --> Successfully ran package setup scripts Checksumming directory /opt/oscar/packages Executing: find . -follow -type f \( -name '*' \) -printf "%p %s %u %g %m %t\n" | sort | md5sum - Checksum was: 35ad168595ffc07040e8c7b507456837 Wrote checksum file /opt/oscar/tmp/packages.md5: 35ad168595ffc07040e8c7b507456837 --> Making sure there is an ODA database password Checksumming directory /opt/oscar/packages Executing: find . -follow -type f \( -name 'config.xml' \) -printf "%p %s %u %g %m %t\n" | sort | md5sum - Checksum was: 1794f5877a812c5fdc994165f8019df5 Current checksum (/opt/oscar/tmp/config_xml.md5): 1794f5877a812c5fdc994165f8019df5 --> Initializing ODA database from package config.xml files Starting the mysql database server ... /etc/init.d/mysqld start Starting MySQL: [ OK ] Making sure that the mysql database server starts on subsequent boots ... chkconfig mysqld on Creating the OSCAR database ...
