Hello,
Suppose I have 9 machine with the same hardware and want to have them as OSCAR
cluster. I can install one of the OSCAR supported OS on all of them (ie.
CentOS 4). Is there any way I can one of them to be the master head node, and
8 of the rest to be the compute node, without using OSCAR to create the image
and imaging the disk of the compute nodes? Can I just install the necessary
RPM and run some install scripts on the compute nodes with OS already
pre-installed ?

The reason I'm asking is that because I'm having difficulties booting the
compute nodes after it sucessfully installed the image from network booting.
I keep getting "Kernel Panic". I asked the list about it here and still have
not came up with a working solution:

Thanks for any respond.
