In my case I installed OSCAR in a computer using 2 NIC’s but localhost as
the IP address 127.0.0.1.

My /etc/hosts file looks some think like the next.

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost

10.64.13.118 cluster1.deetc.isel.local cluster1

192.168.10.1 oscar_server nfs_oscar pbs_oscar

# These entries are managed by SIS, please don't modify them.

192.168.10.10 node01.deetc.isel.local node01

...

thanks Michael and Ali for relpying.
I am using Oscar 5.1 release. i am sorry i didnot mention the version number
earlier.

Error 1 is solved but i am still getting Error 2 which is ERROR: hostname
cannot be localhost.
does this have to do with my creating 2 networks using a single NIC's. has
anybody tried it before.
