Hi Chris,

Sorry for the mistake in the file for the unstable x86_64 repo; this is now
fixed.

About your problem installing the different repositories, the output is clearly
weird:
[
http://bear.csm.ornl.gov/repos/rhel-5-x86_64http://bear.csm.ornl.gov/repos/unstable/rhel-5-x86_64http://bear.csm.ornl.gov/repos/unstable/rhel-5-x86_64http://bear.csm.ornl.gov/repos/unstable/rhel-5-x86_64http://bear.csm.ornl.gov/repos/unstable/rhel-5-x86_64

http://isoredirect.centos.org/centos/5/os/x86_64/ ]
Array: 2 element(s)

Based on that, i am sure OSCAR does not use the good URL for accessing to the
OSCAR repo. Can you tell me what is the content of your
/tftpboot/oscar/rhel-5-x86_64.url file? I suspect a problem there (maybe the
current code just mess up the file when trying different repos and different
versions?).
My feeling is that your problem is just a configuration issue, nothing more
critical.

Regards,

I should reiterate, however, that the instructions at repoTesting
("Testing the development version") still have some misleading
typos/quirks (a co-worker has a great phrase, "less haste, more speed"):

BOTH repo files "CentOS-x86_64-OSCAR-unstable.repo" and
CentOS-i386-OSCAR-unstable.repo" refer to the same i386 unstable repos.
However, changing
        baseurl=http://bear.csm.ornl.gov/repos/unstable/rhel-5-i386
to
        baseurl=http://bear.csm.ornl.gov/repos/unstable/rhel-5-x86_64
fixes this, if you're on the 64bit distro. (These files are still
referred-to backwards, as well)

However, after stripping out previous testing, purging the "non-unstable"
repo files, using yum to remove everything previously installed as part of
testing, etc.,and then following the "Testing the development version"
instructions to the letter, the bootstrap still dies; this time, when
trying to "smartly install" oda. (I could probably follow this with a
manual yum of oda, and another oscar-config --boostrap, learn that it
now wants oscar-selector, manually yum that, another oscar-config
--bootstrap, then learn it wants configurator... and keep on like
this, but I'm assuming you want a report of everything that isn't working
as advertised, Geoffroy)

Output as follows:

I released a new version of ODA and PackMan, it is supposed to fix the problem.
The packages are available via our "unstable" repositories (repositories used
for the preparation of oscar-6.0.1, which should be fairly stable today).

Henrique, i think your system configuration does not use the unstable
repositories: you are using http://bear.csm.ornl.gov/repos/rhel-5-i386, instead
of http://bear.csm.ornl.gov/repos/unstable/rhel-5-i386. If you want to use the
unstable repository, refer to
http://svn.oscar.openclustergroup.org/trac/oscar/wiki/repoTesting.

Henrique,

I never saw that error, so could you, please, set PACKMAN_VERBOSE (e.g.,
"export PACKMAN_VERBOSE=1") and re-run "oscar-config --bootstrap"? With that i
hope having more information so i will be able to fix the problem.

Thanks,

Hi, Geoffroy,

I set the PACKMAN_VERBOSE=1, but did not hear significant output change. Even
so, I'm sending the output.
