Again, we have a tool to do that now, no need to do those stuff manually: if your connection is unstable, mirror the OSCAR repository manually using the "oscar-config --mirror-oscar-repo <my_distro_id>" command.
The command works only with trunk and oscar > 6.0.2 (i am currently working on the release of 6.0.2). Any feedback is welcome.
