I basically have the same problem other users are having right now
(see recent post by Carlos Gonsalves), that is OSCAR wizard aborting
due to errors such as:

db_type: no such variable at /etc/oscar/oscar.conf line 7

and:
http://isoredirect.centos.org/centos/5/os/i386/repodata/repomd.xml
HTTP Error 404: Not found

(curiously, the file repomd.xml does exist as it can be requested from
the browser)

I get to the penguin-logo menu on the X desktop, but after choosing
the first option it is evident from the chain of error messages
appearing in the text window behind that something is wrong.

I just want to join the claim for some hints and provide more
evidences if that can help:

Linux version: fresh install of Centos 5.4
Oscar: 6.0.4-1 as per yum install
