December was a strong month on opensource.com considering the holiday
season. We had 258,000 page views and a successful open source gift
guide contest with 1,200 entrants, 43 prizes, and 700 new registered users.
The traffic for our "what is open source page?" is steady. We maintained
the #1 position in search results for "What is open source?" beating out
Wikipedia. We've had almost 10,000 page views to this resource in December.
The top article this month was about open source beehives, a topic that
came in through our webform and was a guest post. The article was also
syndicated by Slashdot.
