As an admin of the list, myself and other Opensource.com team members are trying to help people who may not be familiar with the features of Mailman and how to subscribe/unsubscribe or change options to digest, etc.

We are very concerned because of the high volume of unsubscriptions lately, but we realize that people who have joined / were invited may not understand the purpose of this list. It's fairly low volume and we want to share appropriate metrics and updates for the Opensource.com community.

*Purpose*
The purpose of this list is to have a place for our readers, writers, moderators and artists to discuss matters concerning Opensource.com and otherwise do the work that makes this a community practicing the open source way.

We've recently updated the footer for non-digest subscribers including this information and making it a little easier to unsubscribe if that is the desire.

We do have a great community of over 1,200 subscribers here and we appreciate any effort in helping us make progress on sharing the great stories we discover on Opensource.com. Feedback at any time is welcome.

Regards,
Jason Hibbets
