I am not gecko hunters, but maybe a newbie user. Just want to ask, did you add any ATI repos before? By default, OpenSuSe don't load the repos, you have to add it manually. This is because I have a problem on my Nvidia driver recently and after I add the repos, my problem solved. I only guess that's the problem. Maybe I'm wrong. Good luck!
