Thanks for the response.. I did all the settings as you suggested.. Thanks
for the detailed one.. but one thing is, I could not see the two options
below highlighted in red while doing kernel config.. may be I have missed
some thing...


        Console display driver support  --->
            <*> Framebuffer Console support
            [*] Map the console to the primary display device

*            [*] Select compiled-in fonts             [*] VGA 8x8 font*
