I think i found it,
it seems to have something to do with copy and paste
Steps
1. mark some code from left to right
2. copy and paste
3. shift select backwards
Expected
Text should be selected
Actual
Selection fails strangely

Hm, i can't reproduce it either, strange.
It happened to me just before i sent the mail.
Then i opened another editor of eclipse to see if it works there (and it
did). And after closing this editor it worked in ASDT too.
