TortoiseSVN is great, if youre on windows :)

actually, Olivier could you expand on which comparison tools you would recommend?

I agree that in some cases the comparison tool in Eclipse isnt as useful as it could be, but i only really know windiff as an alternative.
Personal experience and recommendations in this area would be most welcome
