MM is not really doing that. The community itself does this and MM just 
responds to/acts upon it.

I don't see them as 2 different things. There's only one Flash plugin. Just 
different versions, as it has always been.
You'll just need the right version to view/experience certain content, again, 
as it has always been.
Unless MM decides otherwise of course ;-)

I don't think there's a Flex2 (plugin?). Just a new flash player version (8.5) 
which is an update from 8, just as version 8 was an 
update of version 7. At least that's the way I understood it from the article.
