Hi Nicolas,

It doesn't sound crazy, it sounds irresponsible. Especially coming from
a figure that many in the community look up to. And, I am quite
convinced that (as much as you may like to believe that it is), it is
not true. We all live within a system of rules/laws and without certain
laws, we would have anarchy. It's not my intention to get into a
political discussion, but suffice it to say that every time you stop at
a red light or pay your taxes, you care about and abide by the law. Now
this doesn't mean that you should not oppose unjust laws, etc. but there
are ways of doing this (and it's quite possible that civil disobedience,
etc. are valid methods.) However, I don't believe that there is any
reason for over-reacting about anything at this point. And I don't
believe that it is an unrealistic expectation for all content on OSFlash
to be 100% legal. Unfortunately, perhaps, you do have to take pains
today to make sure that your software is legal (not you specifically,
but the general, royal "you") :)

No, this thread was started by myself to ask the community to be a
little careful about what is posted on the wiki/list and repositories.
Legally, I am the owner of these resources which means that, legally, I
am responsible for them. Given the circumstances, I don't believe that
asking for good judgment in what is placed up is too much to ask for.

The servers are in the US at the moment. But that's not the important
thing. The important thing is that we need to act responsibly. That's
all I'm asking for.

Take care,
Aral
