Hi Claus, This is a very valid point and perhaps the way forward is for Adobe to publish a specification for the Flash Player so that independent parties can create players that can be certified by Adobe. Of course, the down-side to this for Adobe will be the loss in income from creating Flash Players for certain platforms (eg. mobile.) The upside is that they will be able to control the specification and thus stop incompatible players from being released (or at least certified.)
