This doesn't mean that adding other platforms using an other player 
implementation is deemed to raise compatibilities issues. It's up to the 
dev team to ensure that. I for instance had good reasons not to support 
AS2 exactly like the FlashIDE compiler is doing.

And it's open source, so if you have a particular issue, you can submit 
a report and if the player is correctly maintained it might be fixed 
quite quickly. It's always better to have a minor problem on a given 
platform than to have that platform not being supported at all :)
