Sorry John,
I mean a swf that holds just Classes that you load at runtime. Ive been referring to them as dll swfs for so long I forgot you might not know what I mean.
Apologies for miscommunication Jim From:

ok, cool thanks Jim On 3/22/06, Jim Tann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: John,
Right, the problem is in a project where I am using my own DLL swf's. I am using a swf preloader of my own to load them all into the main swf before use. Then on loading I am using your XrayLoder class to load in the connector. I would send you the whole project but it is a bit of an issue with the people I work for. I will try to recreate the problem in my own time and get a simple example sent to you when I have the time.
To be honest it is likely to be a problem with the way im loading a lot of DLL / External SWF's as I have had this issue before with another DLL swf of mine.

Yeah I've not seen this before ;) On 3/22/06, Jim Tann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Ok, I have a horrible nasty fix. I don't know why but if I import for runtime sharing from the xrayConnector_1.4.5.swf the "Xray Connector 8-OS" movieclip into the movie I want to use xray from it works outside of the IDE. This is a buggy fix & don't like it but thought I would post it incase anyone else has the same problem as me.
This has happened to me with another DLL style swf before which is why I thought of it. Im not sure why but the DLL swf gets loaded but the housing swf dosnt recognize that the classes are there. Using the import for runtime sharing seems to force the housing swf to drag all of the classes along with it.
I would be interested to know if anyone else has had this problem. Jim From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Quick question- are you using the _global.tt() method? On 3/21/06, Jim Tann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Hello all,
I have been using xray for a while and today found its started doing something weird. Only in the new project I started today I have loaded in the xrayConnector_1.4.5.swf and fired the onload event. Now the thing is when I am inside the Flash IDE running the swf the local connection works fine, tracing as expected. Running the swf externally not a sausage.
I am using the exact same swf dragging it into the IDE and double clicking it outside. One works one doesn't. Has anyone seen this before? Is there a way to fix it. I am confused & can't look at it anymore.
