as a side note, because of this discussion, i've just put in a few new things that are not on the live site yet:
1. detect and notify about available swf - you'll get an Alert if there's not swf to connect to
2. Reconnect option - let's you know if another instance of Xray is running and allows you to close the other instance, and reconnect the local connections
3. Tests the version of the connector for compatibility with the interface and alerts you so you can download the latest connector or just continue on anyway
