It just came into my mind that I´m using really big and "weird" urls to access the pictures in the server. Each album, when created, has a md5 code assigned to it, a folder with this code is created at the albuns root folder. So, when a picture is requested (when you click on a thumb) the loader at the bigger image is sent this string:

http://host/data/albuns/ da4e73826f21f00b01315416f41e00ff216967b4/mainimage/DSC0001.jpg

I wonder if this huge url could, somehow, affect the behaviour of my application depending on the browser (FireFox seems to get lost on some pictures)...

Thanks,

Marcelo.

Hello friends!

I´ve just released the first working version of my last project. It´s a big and complex RIA and becouse of that it was and it is being difficult to track and solve bugs as I´m the only developer involved. I´ve noted some inconsistencies with AMFPHP (I´m actually using cakeAMFPHP (which is a wrapper around AMFPHP to make it work with Cake) and CakePHP for the application server), sometimes it just sends a request and doesn´t return a result and the application halts. Also, in FireFox, sometimes the loading of the pictures (which are loaded directly through the url like http://...dsc0001.jpg) also fails, this doesn´t happen so often in IE. Now that the app is in production, I´m able to see that I really need more information on AMFPHP and Flash Player internals as my app has a potential chance to fail (inconsisten) and I don´t know why it is the way it is. So, if you´ve got some time, please, take a look at http://www.chapeco-online.com.br ... ANY help here would be much appreaciated as I really need this thing to work without major failures/problems!

Thanks a lot :)

Marcelo.
