I believe -swf is looking for a filename, not a directory name.

-swf E:\BOSS-SH\CONFIG\eclipse\FAME_tutorial\deploy\myapp.swf

Also, I think -out might be the option you actually want. -swf is used for
injecting actionscript into a .swf that's already created.

-out E:\BOSS-SH\CONFIG\eclipse\FAME_tutorial\deploy\myapp.swf

Hello, was wondering if anyone had received Permission denied while
attempting to compile with mtasc. This is the first thing I've ever
attempted with flash/actionscript while following an online tutorial.

I received the following :

-----------------------

C:\eclipse\mtasc-1.12\mtasc.exe -swf
E:\BOSS-SH\CONFIG\eclipse\FAME_tutorial\deploy -cp
E:\BOSS-SH\CONFIG\eclipse\FAME_tutorial\src -main
com\communitymx\HelloWorld.as -trace Flashout.traceReplacer -strict
-header 800:600:31 -cp "C:\Documents and Settings\Steve\My
Documents\Macromedia\Flash MX 2007\en\Configuration\Classes"

Fatal error: exception
Sys_error("E:\BOSS-SH\CONFIG\eclipse\FAME_tutorial\deploy: Permission
denied")

-----------------------

The folder: E:\BOSS-SH\CONFIG\eclipse\FAME_tutorial\deploy does in fact
exist on my drive.

I'm on Win XP

Thanks, Steve
