Hi randy,
Its probably a good idea to leave the mp3s in memory. By switching to
disk access you will cause more strain on the server. If u don't want
them loaded I'm memory I would suggest creating a ramdrive on your
server and load the mp3s from that however you will probably need to
modify some of the red5 code.
Cheers

Hi all,
I am a newbie and looked around but could not find the answer to……
How do I control the amount of memory used by red5 per stream? I am
streaming hundreds of mp3’s simultaneously and it seems that in my c
urrent config that red5 loads the whole mp3 into memory. I want to
be able to control the amount of memory it uses per stream. It shou
ld be able to manage the disk i/o along with the memory buffer to s
upport streaming instead of loading the whole thing into memory, sho
uldn’t it?
Also how do I control the max number of connections to the
application, preferably ina config file and not code?
Thanks and cheers,
Randy
