We're starting a video streaming site, and are using mencoder to encode our videos.
With the latest Adobe Flash Player update, we are able to utilize h.264 and AAC audio for increased quality at smaller file sizes. We are going over the advantages and disadvantages of using red5 over lighttpd to do our streaming, and would prefer to use red5 because we'd also like to implement the webcam capturing components as well. We basically rename our MP4 files to FLV, and the player reads the mime type I guess when it plays. What's the best strategy here? Will Red5 stream them, or are we going about this the wrong way? We understand that all this is very new, but we're just starting so we'd like to adopt the best possible solution. Thanks!! Looking forward to responses Humpy _______________________________________________ osflash mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/osflash_osflash.org
