The last updates can be obtained on the Recent News page.
Even old projects can be valuable some times, so i think there should be 
complete list of all projects somewhere.
But as you said, such a long list does not work. So i think, we should 
split it up, the question is how, there are many possibilities.
By subject: testing, components, math, 3d, tweening, xml, ...
By technology: as 1, 2, 3
By license: os only, commercial, ...
...

The question is, what the list is used for :)
I came across it, when i was looking for an as3 tweening engine i could 
use in a private project. So for me all 3 partitionings from above would 
have made sense.
