Apologies in advance, as this isn't necessarily about OS Flash, but this is the only list I know to get this question answered.
I have been exploring the new h.264 support in the most recent flash player to deliver HD content to users. We hadn't done HD yet since playing vp6 content did not appear to use the client machine's graphics processor for the video. I thought with h.264, they would start doing this, but it appears that it's still all in software. I've tried delivering HD video through flash, and any machine that's not super new immediately hits 100% CPU and starts dropping frames. Does anyone here have any tips on delivering HD? I'd like to be able to deliver a 1080i or 720p stream at 1000 or 1500kbps through the flash player. -- Alex Thurlow Technical Director Blastro Networks email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] office: 512-485-3148 mobile: 512-762-5814 _______________________________________________ osflash mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/osflash_osflash.org
