excellent tip chris! :)

i wasn't aware of the as3-support you linked; will give it a try.
have you used the as3-support or were your experiences made
with java-projects?

especially liked the seamless switch from eclipse to argouml
but i'm still keen to take a look at saffron nevertheless ;)))

cheers!

Unfortunately the position I'm in now has not been condusive to me to use a modeler in a while I had a lot of luck a couple years back with

http://argouml.tigris.org/
http://argouml-actionscript3.tigris.org/

Java based so will run on any platform, support for Actionscript, and great stub code generation. I really liked it and saved me countless hours (and $$$ ;] )

    cheers list!

honest apologies because this is slightly off topic; neither
    saffron nor any other
modeler i mentioned are open source... but i think that quite a
    bunch of us like
using a modeler before starting to code-right? ;)

there was a small (but very interesting) topic on the GOasap-list
    which brought
    up a few questions:

-what uml-modeler do you guys use on a mac?

-what happened to saffron? it seems i'm not the only one who can't
    wait to hear
    some (positive) news about it...

-has anyone made some experiences with visual paradigm as an
    alternative to
    enterprise architect?
    especially this feature looked neat:

http://www.visual-paradigm.com/product/vpuml/demos/generatecode/generateas.jsp

interesting article for anyone who want to read some basic research:

http://analogdesign.ch/blog/index.php/archive/uml-drawings-to-actionscript-2-3-code/

thx cedric for this excellent article; i share your opinion that
    using uml-modeling
is something that should be more widely used among as-developers ;)

    best!
    henrik
