I think that you're mistaken. MTASC didn't "died", it's AS2 that got 
replaced by AS3 instead... MTASC works very well for thousands of 
developers and is still supported. The only thing is that it doesn't 
seems to have bugs left (unless you found one of course).

For further questions about MTASC, you would have better asking on the 
MTASC mailing list where you should find more people able to answer it.
