That is actually incorrect. WRL files are VRML files, use the OpenVRML-based VRML plugin for that, not the old iv one which works only for OpenInventor format. Also, the Coin3D based VRML plugin is deprecated as far as I know, it wasn't even working last time I have checked. The source code is in the OSG distribution, just not compiled by default (that's why there is no DLL).
