I've used a similar tool called Debut (http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/index.html). Like Fraps, it has both a free version and a pay version. I've gotten good results with the free version and it's really easy to use. The movie files it generates are enormous, however, so I post-process them with Windows Media Encoder to get them down to a reasonable size.
