The OpenSceneGraph-2.9.x series are all developer version that are developed in line with the OpenSceneGraph-Data trunk, I haven't so far created specific develop versions for the data. Given we now have OpenSceneGraph-3.0.0 and OpenSceneGraph-3.0.1-rc1 available, and OpenSceneGraph-Data-3.0.0 I'd recommend you move to this, rather than a 2.9.x developer release.
