Hi All, Many thanks to John for organizing the event again this year. Much appreciated :-)
John and I have been talking about the possibility of me doing a presentation via a Google hangout, which should allow me to be their as a virtual presence and allow to do put up a few slides as well as their is screen share facility. If this fails it'll fall back to a powerpoint/pdf based presentation. In theory we should be able to do a live broadcast style hangout and provide the segment online afterwards. Can't say yet whether all the tech will work on the day but fingers crossed. There will be plenty of time for other presenters to talk about their projects, the challenges and solutions they have come up with. If there is time at the end and the hangout is still working I could even try to be around to ask and answer question. I guess in theory we might even be able to get others from around the globe in on the hang out too. I'm away from tomorrow on a two week holiday, but on my return John and I plan to try out Google hangout, if things go well we can see if others can join as well. If you would like a spot in the BOF to present something, be it a presentation or just a quick demo please chip in to this thread or contact John and myself and we can work out a schedule.
