The alias scheme in the Registry has been working fine for many years,
perhaps even over a decade now, so I can't say why it isn't working
for you.

Try modifying the osgmovie so it registers the aliases prior to any
loading of files, if this doesn't work then post the file and others
can look at it to see if they can recreate the problem/spot what you
might be doing wrong.
