ATI has released a new Catalyst 6.6 driver for Windows. This is the public update that was rumored (but not confirmed) to fix the issues we've seen plaguing OSG on ATI cards.

I don't see out issue number(s) listed in the release notes, nor in the known remaining issues. And, my laptop is a Mobility Radeon, and won't run the stock drivers, so I can't confirm for myself.

If there is anyone out there with a standard Radeon, would you mind installing this driver release, and seeing if it fixes the two big issues:

SEVERE: swap buffers under Windows when vysnc is on locks the CPU
and
SEVERE: GL_SGIS_generate_mipmap doesn't work

I can't link directly to their site (annoying). Visit ATI.com and click on
Drivers.

Let me know if it works for you. If it does, we're one step nearer to closing the book on this unfortunate tale.
