Hi Qasim, One thing to keep in mind with the 3ds format is that it uses old 8.3 filenames. When exporting, it may be renaming your textures to conform to the 8.3 standard. Next time you encounter this problem, see if the missing textures have long filenames. If so, rename them, update your materials in Max, and then export again. With all that being said, you may want to look into other formats for bringing data into OSG since the 3DS file format is fairly outdated.
Good luck E. --- Eric Maslowski Research Computer Specialist University of Michigan 3D Lab Autodesk 3D Studio Max Certified Trainer email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] office: 734-615-9699 > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:osg-users- > [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Qasim Mumtaz > Sent: Wednesday, August 30, 2006 06:03 > To: osg-users@openscenegraph.net > Subject: [osg-users] Missing Textures on Studio Max Models > > A model in Studio Max is exported as *.3ds.
