Hi Robert,

I'm starting to suspect maybe the osga loader or maybe OSG (cvs).  As I
mentioned before the database appears correct when generated and viewed
from OSG v1.0 but when I try to view the v1.0 database in OSG (cvs) I
get the same result of blackness wherever alpha < 1.0.

I'll keep poking around, but feel free to let me know if I'm on a wild
goose chase ;) .
