OSG Users,

language bindings seem to be a pressing issue for OpenSceneGraph. As been demonstrated at the OSG SIGGRAPH BOF, I am working on a pragmatic approach to expose the OpenSceneGraph API to various languages using SWIG (http://www.swig.org). At the moment the Python bindings are in a usable state (projects in the HIT Lab NZ already using them).

More information and the downloads here:

In a related note I hope to find some more developers joining this project. There are various issues left out at the moment (the Lua plugin of SWIG doesn't support multiple modules, nested classes are nasty, using OpenGL types in OSG headers etc). Keeping things in sync while patching your way through the various kinks of OSG and SWIG is adventurous but worth it.

Cheers,
Hartmut
