Hi John,

I didn't know about RTT.  Looking at the osgprerender example, this may be
the way to go, although it looks like a whole redesign for me.  Anybody know
which is best?  fbo, fb, or pbuffer on the latest cards?

Assuming you're using RTT (if not, why not?), off the top of my head, I'd
create two polys, one behind the other, the rearmost one being coloured
black, and the other receiving the RTT texture. If you're using a separate
camera for the border, I'm surprised you're getting black and not lots of
random stuff.
