Hi Bertrand, While I and others feel that attempts at converting C++ code to Java won't be viable, it doesn't mean that the problem you wish to address needn't be addressed better in the future be it the near or long term.
Could you roll back from looking at a particular technical path to a solution of a speciic problem, to a high level discussion of the problems that you wish to address better. For instance explaining what problems you are hitting up against right now, or problems that you'd expect going forward would be one way to ground the discussion.
From this we might be able to spot short term solutions and longer
