Hi John, Have you tried the "noTextureAlphaForTransparancyBinning" reader option? http://www.openscenegraph.org/osgwiki/pmwiki.php/KnowledgeBase/OpenFlight

Dear Robert and gang, We have several Openflight models that we need to use in the OSG project I am currently working on. For most of the models, everything works great. However, a few of the models have large moving parts that are alpha textured. When the models were designed, someone chose to use a single RGBA file to include all the textures. Some of the parts require transparency and some do not. My problem is that when they are loaded into OSG, the FLT loader marks almost everything that is textured as being in the transparent bin. For the models with large moving parts this causes fighting between surfaces and the object flickers. Is this a known issue, and can something be done about it? I can convert them to .osg and manually edit them but its too bad that it doesn't work in osg. Don't get me wrong though. I am very grateful to have OSG and I think it's a wonderful api.
