That is Nvidia-proprietary option which could also work. Regarding the KDE settings - I was writing it from memory, because I didn't have a dual head machine available. However, I have now configured a computer in the office to use dual monitors and the correct place where to look for the settings in KDE 3.5 is in KDE control panel (kcontrol): Peripherals->Display On the tab "Multiple monitors" you need to disable "Enable multiple monitor fullscreen support" and your problem should be solved. Of course, maximization of any window will now maximize across both screens, so it is still preferable to explicitly specify the window size for OSG instead of this window manager hack.
