I've been chasing my tail with this - trying to get VRML into a dome for
next week.
I got the 0.14.3 version of OpenVRML for windows from the dependencies
folder on the OSG site - but I can't get OSG 2.0 to compile against it
in VS8 due to 1000s of exception errors in the VRML headers
On my Gentoo box - looks like OpenVRML was removed from portage a while
ago. Couldn't get the CVS version of 0.14.3 to compile
Tried to get OSG 2.0 to compile against the version of OpenVRML in
FreeBSD ports tree 0.15.1 - I wasn't expecting this to work, as per your
instructions, but you said it might...I can't even get the bootstrap.sh
script of the CVS version of 0.14.3 to run on FreeBSD
So what Distro do you have it running on - I'll put box together
specially if I have to...

You need OpenVRML 0.14.3. It may work (I emphasize *may*) with a
slightly newer version, but it definitely doesn't with 0.16.x which has
a completely different API and needs Boost.
Perhaps Matlab is also using OpenVRML, however it is highly unlikely
that it is a correct version and that it was compiled with correct
settings. Anyhow, you need the header files to be able to compile the
plugin, I doubt that Matlab ships with them.
