IMHO a little more transparency on the part of the OSGi Alliance on
the RFC process and the RFC in that process wouldn't hurt. I think
it would help accelerate the process and get the RFCs to a higher
quality level quicker by enabling everyone to participate.

It's a discussion that is being held at the OSGi Board, I'm personally
very much in favour of that too.
For the moment we do release regular Early Access drafts of specs that
are starting to take shape. For example, the last one was published in
October. That should keep people who are not members informed of the
direction in which things are going.

However, I would urge the alliance to also allow (at least) OSGi
Alliance Supporters to participate.
There are a _lot_ of very experienced people out there that do not work
for a 'member' company and/or who can not afford the member fee.
I (at least) belong to the 'can not afford' category ;-)
